Thomas E. "Spivy" George, age 48 of Alliance, died at his home with family and friends after a brief illness at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2005.
Mr. George was born March 26, 1957 in Alliance, Ohio to Charles and Eleanor (Donohoe) George and was a lifelong resident.
He attended Alliance Public Schools and was a self-employed Painter and Handyman. He was a member of the Dante Club, and former member of the William Penn Club and the Roma Club. He was an avid bowler and had bowled several 300 games. He also was a Browns and Indians fan, a NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed fishing.
Thomas is survived by his companion, Ranee King; one daughter, Rachel George; one grandson, Dylan; three brothers, Charles George, James (Debbie) George and Michael George; three sisters, Peggy (Dan) Lashley, Debbie Schreckengost and Jackie (Jim) Burch; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends, of Alliance, Ohio, Kentucky and Florida.
Services will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Elder Burl Middleton officiating of the Independent Baptist Church. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
