Thomas James Jenkins age 87 of Homeworth went home to be with the Lord at 1:40 p.m. January 18, 2004.
He was born December 25, 1916 in Amsterdam, Ohio to Frank Edward and Elizabeth M. (James) Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins worked as a painter and was the former owner of Rolling Rock Camp, in Pennsylvania.
He was a member of First Church of God in Minerva.
Survivors include his wife Geraldine (Bennett), whom he married July 28, 1991, one son, Thomas J. Jenkins Jr., of Vancouver, British Columbia, one daughter, Elizabeth M. Rogers, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, three grandsons, L.K. Rogers, Kenneth Rogers, and Thomas J. Jenkins III, one sister Lova Cordray of Canton, one step-son Dale (Shirley) Royer of Columbus, and two step-daughters Sue (Roland) Weisel of N. Canton, Ohio and Jean (Jim) Keeling of Westville Lake, Ohio.
His parents, his first wife, Juanita Stella, and one sister Dorothy Lewis preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First Church of God in Minerva with Pastor David Guess officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Canton.
