Thomas E. McGill

Thomas Edward McGill, age 62, of Alliance, passed away at 2:20 p.m., Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born July 28, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Thomas F. and Eleanor (Garrett) McGill. He grew up in Mantua and came to Alliance in 1986.
Tom attended Crestwood High School was a member of area pool leagues. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and was an avid sports fan of all Ohio teams
Survivors include his wife, Judy (Billiter) McGill whom he married August 18, 1973; daughters, Melinda D. McGill of Nashville, TN and Jennifer A. McGill (Ryan Nootz), of Louisville, KY; three sisters, Dorothy (Jim) Godin of Lancaster, PA, Donna (George) Ritenour of Newton Falls and Rose Thomas of Elizabethtown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, Richard and John.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rex Billiter officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery. Friends and families who visit are encouraged to wear their favorite sports shirts, jerseys, etc. to honor Tom's memory.
