Thomas T. Young

Thomas T. Young Jr., age 56, passed away on February 18, 2025. 

He was born on October 11, 1968, in to Thomas and Joyclyn “Sue” Young.

Thomas graduated from Alliance High School in 1987. He then served in the United States Army.

Thomas was very athletic; he loved playing football and basketball and watching the Steelers. Thomas loved to be outside working in his yard, fishing and even cooking and he was a great cook. He had a great sense of humor and was known for his catchphrase “okay, okay, okay”.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; his life partner, Tabatha Young; special grandchildren, Ryker, Ashton and Ares; brother, Wayne (Vicki) Young; sister, Stacie Young; and bonus sister/cousin, Aretha Young. 

Even though Thomas didn’t have children, he cherished every moment with his nieces and nephews, Brittany, Ha’lena, Ha’Dia, Ha’lia, Winston, Ha’veah, and Javon Young; great-nieces and nephews, Ra’Zariah, Ray’Kwon, Ha’lana, Ha’lanie, Beylee, Jersey, Javghn, Marian, Marra, Marlai, and Ha’Ryah; special uncles, Robert Young and Lewis Foster; best friend, Vance Edwards; honorary family members, Gregory and Gloria Sampson; and his dog, Loucius. 

He was preceded in death by his father. 

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1st at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Gregory Sampson will officiate. He will be buried with military honors next to his father at Alliance City Cemetery. In honor of Thomas’ love of sports, wear your favorite sports team apparel.
