Tod L. Cassidy, age 61, of Beloit, died at 7:14 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born June 13, 1954, in Alliance, Ohio, to Lee V. and Marjory E. (Moulin) Cassidy.
Tod was a graduate of Alliance High School and was employed for 41 years at PTC Alliance and worked in shipping and receiving. He was also owner of Cassidy Racing. An avid drag racing and railroad enthusiast, he was a self-taught car mechanic and a member of NHRA, a national dragster association. He loved working on cars and had built his own race car.
He attended the Sebring Nazarene Church.
He is survived by his mother, Marjory Cassidy of Alliance; sister, Treva Curtis of Alliance; brother, Thomas L. (Linda) Cassidy of Beloit; a niece; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee V. Cassidy.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Homewith Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. A time for fellowship will follow the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St. Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
