Toni A. Roose, age 63 of Alliance, died at her home at 5:13 p.m. Monday December 20, 2004.
She was born February 8, 1941 in Alliance to Elroy and Kathryn (Benko) Zurbrugg and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Roose was an Alliance High School graduate and married Gerald Roose in 1961. At that time she worked at Midland Buckeye Savings & Loan. After returning from Hawaii, she was employed by Dr. Rossiter, Dr. Hirst & Dr. Ewing as an insurance specialist and then worked at RGIS Inventory Co. for 23 years. She was a manager for American Greetings for over 10 years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Roose also worked as a secretary there for several years. She enjoyed collecting Boyd's Bears, Beanie Babies and many other collectibles. Toni also enjoyed attending sporting events especially Cavs Games and she loved making sure that her family and friends knew they were #1 in her heart.
Survivors include her husband Gerald Roose, whom she married in 1961; three daughters Debbie (Tom) Baker of Upland, California, Stephanie Roose of Alliance, Kristina (Steve) Young of Alliance; two sons Steve (Annette) Roose of Reynoldsburg, David (Jennifer) Roose of Euclid; 10 grandchildren Katie, Amanda, Wesley, Brady, Clayton, Jaret, Spencer, Preston, Parker, Kyle and she was also looking forward to the birth of another granddaughter in March of 2005; a brother Keith Zurbrugg of Alliance; a sister Dixie Waugh of Stoney Point North Carolina and 10 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. William Sadler officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and one half hour prior to the service Friday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in her memory.
