Twila M. Minger, age 84, of Alliance, died at 7:50 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
She was born August 28, 1928, in Monroe County, Ohio, to Leslie and Caroline (Lohr) Dimit.
A graduate of Antioch High School in Monroe County, Mrs. Minger was a member of First Immanuel United Church of Christ. She devoted her life to her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Herrington, Debbie (Rodney) Hodgekin, Donna (Richard) Anderson and Christine Harton, all of Alliance; son, Brent (Tammy) Minger of Alliance; grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Eric, Kenny, Stacy, Brenty, Joshua, Britteny and Chad; great grandchildren, Dewey, Darton, Carmen, Austin, Emme and Logan; sisters, Phyllis Smith of Ravenna and Vera Eddy of Woodsville, Oh.; brother, Roger Dimit of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert Minger, whom she married on June 4, 1949 and who passed away on January 9, 2003; son David Minger; sister, Eva King and brother, Paul Dimit.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday March 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
