Uliana 'Willie' (Difloure) Gray, age 97, of Alliance, passed away at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Sterling House of Alliance.
She was born October 20, 1916, in Alliance, to Thomas and Mary (Sacco) Difloure.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Willie was employed as a secretary for Morgan Engineering, United Co-op and Armour Manufacturing.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Elks Ladies, YWCA, the Alliance Woman's Club and was also active with the Alliance Senior Center since its inception. Willie was a very giving person, she was a founding member of the local Meals on Wheels and volunteered many hours helping cancer patients. In 2000 she was selected as "Volunteer of the Year" by the Mayor.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Donald Gray; daughter, Nancy (Joe) Main of Alliance; stepson, Patrick (Sharon) Gray of Sarasota, Florida; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald I. Bard, Jr.; brothers, Patsy Difloure, John Difloure, Frank Difloure, Joe Difloure and Thomas Difloure; and sisters, Mary Norum, Bambi Shefelton, Yolanda Schuette and Anne Woods.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Mainwaring Chapel at Alliance City Cemetery. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
