Vada Holbrook, age 75, of Alliance, died at 4:43 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Mrs. Holbrook was born Oct. 6, 1932 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to Joe Walter and Frances (Stevens) Middleton.
Mrs. Holbrook was a member of the Independent Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Earnie Holbrook of Beloit, Sue Blevins of Alliance, Donna Fraser of Alliance, and Brian Holbrook of Alliance; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and was anxiously expecting her 8th. Her siblings include; Earnest Middleton of Olive Hill, Ky, Opal Holbrook of Olive Hill, Ky, Madge Clark of Alliance, Hazel Lilly of the home, Bonnie Thomas of Alliance, and Burl Middleton of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd Holbrook, whom she married Jan. 8, 1952, and who died June 8, 2000; daughter, Linda Holbrook, and three sisters Mable Leishman, Maggie Holbrook and Dixie Woodburn.
Services will be held at 11am. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with remarks and eulogy by Mr. Brian Holbrook. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
