Valerie Jones Vinson

It is with great sadness that we, the family of Valerie Rae Jones Vinson, announce her passing on July 4, 2023.

Valerie was born in Alliance in July of 1971 to Charles and Betty Jones. She graduated from Marlington High School in 1989 and Mount Union College in 1993.

Valerie was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was musically talented and participated in many musical events as well as being active in scouting and school events of her children. Valerie chose a career in software engineering and was a web designer and advisor for First Energy in Akron.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jerry; the joy of her life, her children, Jayden and Alexandra; a brother and a sister-in-law, Ryan and Laura Jones; niece, Anna; and nephews, Ethan and Grant, who she loved very much. Additional survivors include her father-in-law, Jerry Vinson of North Canton; mother-in-law, Sheila Casada Vinson of Columbus; sisters -in-law, Carol, Shelly and Elizabeth; and a niece Mikala of Nevada.

Valerie was preceded in death by her grandparents and twin sons.

A graveside service will be held on July 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Fairmont Memorial Park.
