Valerie E. Szugye Keller age 85, of Alliance, died at 11:25 p.m. July 25, 2003 at McCrea Manor Nursing Center.
She was born in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania on December 1, 1917 to John and Barbara (Kobol) Szugye.
Mrs. Keller retired from United Co-Operatives, after working as a secretary. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. of Sharpsville, Pa., and the American Legion Auxiliary of Alliance, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary of Alliance.
She is survived by one sister, Helen Sabo of Erie, Pa., one brother, John Szugye of Sharpsville, Pa., one granddaughter Kristy M. Welsh of Deerfield, one daughter in law Mildred Keller of Deerfield, and two great grandchildren Eric and Kelly Welsh of Deerfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William B. Keller, whom she married September 28, 1944, and who died Oct. 24, 1984, one son William John Keller, who died Oct. 14, 1972, one sister Anne Perfilio, and one brother Jesse Szugye.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Farrell, Pa.
