Vernon K Bailey

Vernon Keith Bailey, age 85, of Alliance passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021.

He was born on May 9, 1935 in Grahn, KY to Samuel and Roberta (Holbrook) Bailey.

Vernon graduated from Alliance High School in 1954.  He was employed at Timken for 30 years as a maintenance supervisor.  He was also owner/operator of Bailey Trenching Service.

Vernon was a past Master of Masonic Temple Conrad 271.  He was a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, Tadmore Shrine, Alliance Shrine Club, Eastern Star and a honorary Grand Cross of Color member of the Rainbow Girls.  He also attended the First Christian Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley (Bell) Bailey whom he married on April 2nd, 1958; children, David Bailey, Lori (Tim) Parker and Lisa (Chris McCallum) Bailey; granddaughter, Rachael (Justin) Summers; sisters, Joyce Saffron, Judy Gentile, Shirley (Paul) Gibbons; sister-in-law, Pat Bailey; great grandson, Hudson Keith Summers;  family dog, Belle; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Lane, Michael, Patty, Terrella and Billy Norman.

A funeral service will held at 2pm on Tuesday, February 16th at the funeral home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital 1645 W. 8th St. Erie, PA 16505.
