Veronica Carretta, age 96, of Alliance, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday April 27, 2005 at Canterbury Villa.
Veronica was born Dec. 17, 1908 in Albany, New York to Charles and Fransesca (Yelinskas) Ligaka (McCoskey), and lived in Alliance most of her life.
Veronica was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 58 years.
Survivors include one brother-in-law, Douglas Greene and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Alexandria; four sisters, Eva Bezon, Catherine Marconi, Genevieve Veig, and Helen Greene; and one brother, Charles McCoskey.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6- 7:30 p.m. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
