Versie M. (Binion) Barker

Versie M. (Binion) Barker, age 90, of Alliance, passed away at 2:15 a.m., Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Canterbury Villa.
She was born October 3, 1924, in Lawrence County, Ohio, to Lee and Mary (Bradley) Binion and has resided in Alliance since 1942.
Versie retired from Armour's (Sancap) in 1988 after 37 years of service.
Survivors include her three sisters, Mona Floor of Sebring, Rosa Helfer of Newark, Ohio and Barbara Witzel of Charlotte, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Barker who died January 1977; six brothers, James Albert, Raymond, Lee, Harold, William and Arthur; and three sisters, Darleen Binion, Bertha Dean and Ina Barker.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2014 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park
