Vincent F. Cibella, age 64, of Alliance, died at 6:49 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.
He was born February 21, 1948, in Warren, Ohio, to Charles S. and Caroline D. (Miccio) Cibella. He graduated from Howland Senior High School, attended Kent State University, and worked as a carpenter and restaurant owner.
Vincent was a member of the Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church. He was active with missionary work, donating his knowledge of construction on various trips. He also donated his time and talents at soup kitchens, and taught construction as a job skill to people in drug and alcohol rehabilitation. A former Boy Scout, Vincent enjoyed painting, cooking and working puzzles.
Survivors include his sons, David (Nicolle) Hendrick of Mineral Ridge and Antonio (Bridget) Cibella of Sagamore Hills; sisters, Catherine Cibella of Alliance and Mary L. Cibella and her husband, David A. Beal of Cleveland; and his former wife and longtime friend, Neita Cibella of Virginia.
Vincent was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tom Sawyer officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Mount Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kent State University Foundation at KSU Deans Office 408 White Hall, Kent, Ohio 44242 for the Charles S. and Caroline D. Cibella Education Scholarship.
