Violet "Susie" McMillen, age 50, of North Benton, died peacefully at 5:42 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born June 21, 1957 in Canton, Ohio to Jack and Violet (Myers) Barker.
Susie attended West Branch High School, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed life and her animals.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Violet Barker of Alliance; husband, William "Bill" McMillen of N. Benton; daughter, Patricia (David) Yoder of Alliance; son, Dustin McMillen of the home; step-sons, William "Bub" McMillen of N. Benton and Tommy McMillen of Salem; four grandchildren; three brothers, Jack (Freda) Barker of Mesa, Az, Spencer (Fonda) Barker of N. Benton, and William (Mandy) Barker of Alliance; sister, Gail Williams of Sebring; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Barker, and three brothers, Terry, Roger and John Barker.
Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Stout of the Holy Land of God Church officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave. Alliance, Ohio.
