Violeta Rasinar, age 52, lost her two-year battle with pancreatic cancer on October 14, 2010 in Uniontown, Ohio. She was surrounded by family in her home at the time of her death.
Violeta was born in Bucharest, Romania, on May 2, 1958. She later met and married her husband in 1982, and gave birth to her daughter in 1983. Along with her family, she immigrated to Alliance, Ohio in 1990. One year later she gave birth to her son.
Though Violeta's life seems too short to her loved ones, those who had the privilege of knowing her, understood that the quality of a person's existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her warm laughter, big heart, and love of life brought joy to everyone she knew. Her strength, courage, and determination were admired by all, and she will never be forgotten.
Violeta is survived by her husband Ioan; daughter, Alexandra (David) Guistino; son, Stephen; and mother, Margareta (Nicu) Parasca.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ioan Parasca.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Alliance Friends Church with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
