Violetta L. Gammon

Violetta L. Gammon, age 85, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away at 4:15 a.m., Sunday, 17, 2016, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born March 27, 1931, in Irondale, Ohio, to Pearl and Myrtle (Stigall) Puckett and lived most of her life in the Area.
Violetta attended grade school in Salineville, Ohio, graduated from Alliance High School in the class of 1949, and then attended Mount Union College. She had been employed as a nurse's aide at Alliance City Hospital.
A member of Alliance Church of God, Violetta was secretary, pianist and marimba player at the church and had volunteered much of her time with the church.
Survivors include her four sons, David (Valerie) Gammon of Hartville, Darrell Gammon of Alliance, Douglas (Cheryl) Gammon of Hartville, Darren (Donna) Gammon of Waxham, North Carolina; brothers, James Puckett of Mercer, Pennsylvania, Glen Puckett of Medina and Virgil Puckett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Dale Gammon who died in 2010; and a son, Gregory Gammon.
There will be no services.
