Virginia A. Campbell, age 79 of Alliance, died at 9:42 p.m. May 17, 2007 at home. She was born August 28, 1927 in Huntington, West Virginia to Okey and Lona (Stilner) Smith and had lived in Alliance for 60 years. Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of Cambridge High School. She was a former member of First United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband Frank Campbell whom she married July 20, 1943; daughters, Darlene (Del) Williamson, Linda Johnson, Janice Landry all of Alliance and Judy (Alan) Pollack of Bay Village; son Bill (Bonnie) Campbell of Cape Coral, Florida; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother Carlos Smith of Sebring; special Aunt Marjorie Adams of Huntington W.VA. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty (Burt) Hewitt, brother Carroll Smith and granddaughter Lisa Diane Williamson. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Higle officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
