Virginia R. Donohoe, age 91, of Sebring, passed away at 4:15 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born August 26, 1922, at St. Ann's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, to Lester William and Vera Dorothy (James) Scheu.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served on the Diaconate Board, American Baptist Women, Fire Side Class and founder of the Caring Committee. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary BPO Elks No. 467, YMCA, Dr. Roaches Outdoor League, Good Samaritan RV Club and the Carnation Wing No. 95 Camping Club.
Survivors include her; sons, Neal W. McNutt of Queen Valley, AZ and David Lee McNutt of Boardman, Ohio; stepsons, Charles R. Donohoe of Aurora, CO and Bruce E. Donohoe of Columbus; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Lester W. Scheu of Vero Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Donohoe, whom she married September 28, 1968; daughter, Terry Lynn; and a sister, Marjorie Richard.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Gordon Thomas and Pastor Steve Rhodes co-officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
