Virginia E. "Jeanne" Walker, age 82, of Alliance, died at 3:51 p.m. Dec. 7, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center.
She was born June 14, 1924 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Frances (Butkus) Groth and had lived in Alliance since 1958.
Mrs. Walker was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed making floral arrangements and painting.
Survivors include her husband Jack Walker, whom she married July 24, 1948; one daughter, Patricia Ann (Daniel) Mulligan of Richmond, VA; son, Dennis E. (Beverly) Walker of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren and sister Joan Kottman of Merrill, WI.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Gross Jr., officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
