Vivian Pearl Walker Fredrick, age 81 of Alliance, passed at her home among husband, family and friends at 10:05 p.m. September 22, 2003.
She was born October 11, 1921 in Plato, Missouri, to Carl and Bess (Minnick) Walker.
Mrs. Fredrick graduated from high school in Plato Missouri, and retired from Charter One Bank.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Treasurer Emeritus of the church, served on the board of trustees, and Diaconete Board. She was also a member of the Fireside Class, and taught Sunday school.
Mrs. Fredrick was past president of the Marlington Band Boosters, a former Brownie Leader, and former Red Cross Canteen Volunteer.
She was a member of Rural Harmony, Alliance Woman's Club, Que Vie Club and Beta Sigma Phi.
Mrs. Fredrick was a member for over 60 years of the Alliance Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, and past Worthy Matron several times, she was also past Grand Page of Ohio.
Surviving are her husband, Delbert G. Fredrick of Alliance, whom she married April 12, 1941, one son James (Elizabeth) Fredrick of Broadview Heights, one daughter Marianne (Jerry) Michna, of Louisville, grandchildren, James W. Fredrick Jr., Andrew Fredrick, Lisa Michna, Brian Michna and Anthony Michna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Wayne and Dean Walker.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Gordon Thomas officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. An Order of Eastern Star Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
