Walter E. Gfeller

Walter E. Gfeller, age 80, of Alliance, died at 1:30 a.m. September 5, 2006, at Canterbury Villa.
He was born March 18, 1926 in Beloit to Louis Walter and Anna Marjorie (Kramer) Gfeller and was a lifelong resident of Alliance and Sebring.
A graduate of Sebring High School in 1944, Mr. Gfeller then graduated from the Cleveland Engineering Institute. He retired from the former Royal China Co. of Sebring.
Walter was a member of the World Wide Church of God in Pasadena, CA. Mr. Gfeller was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in WW II. and the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, receiving one bronze star.
He is survived by his brother Virgil A. Gfeller of Merritt Island, Fla. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Herman, Raymond, Dale, Gene and two sisters Bonnie and Doris Gfeller.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
