Walter Stinson

Walter R. "Pete" Stinson, age 78 of Alliance, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday July 1, 2005 at Roselawn Terrace Nursing Home.
He was born January 3, 1927 in Alliance, Ohio to John and Nora M. (Lawson) Stinson.
He attended Alliance schools and retired in 1986 from Alliance Drop Forge after working as a Die Sinker.
He was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, and was a member of the Conrad Masonic Lodge #271 F&AM and life member of DAV.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene K. Miller of Homeworth, and Daphne A. (Philip) Lakin of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy Mae (Duchon) Stinson, whom he married July 4, 1946 and who died Feb. 22, 2003, and one sister, Marie Stanga.
Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 5th at Alliance City Cemetery with Pastor Joe Peters officiating.
