Walter Wells

Walter W. Wells, age 90, of Alliance, died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born, November 10, 1920, in Alliance, Ohio, to Ira Jerome and Dixie (Moore) Wells.
Walter graduated from Alliance High School and was employed by Alliance Machine until his retirement.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, BPO Elks No. 467 and a life member of the VFW Post 166.
Walter was a United States Army World War II Veteran. He enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include his sister, Fran Blendenbacher of Sebring; nephew, Charles (Cindy) Kirby; and two great-nephews, Jason (Geneva) Kirby of Alliance and Justin (McKenzie) Kirby of Naples, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Betty E. (Kirby) Wells, whom he married July 15, 1944 and who died March 6, 2010.
There will be no services or visitation. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
