Wanda Gwendolyn “Gwen” Bahler, age 88, of Alliance, passed away July 6, 2022 at Aultman Hospital.
She was born September 19, 1933 in Young Harris, Georgia to Garland and Julia (Thompson) Martin.
A graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School in Kent, Ohio, Gwen worked as an Executive Secretary for American Steel, in Alliance.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, and the former Alliance Woman’s Club.
Gwen enjoyed fishing, sewing, traveling, baking and spending time with her family.
She will be loved and missed by her family, including her daughters, Cindy (Don) Miller of Kent, Ohio, Sandra (Frank) Orth of Granville; sister, Nancy Andrews-White of Kent; grandchildren, Ashlee (Daric) Gray of Stow, Hayley (Paul) Trowbridge, of Stow, Hannah (Mike) Freeman, of Austin, Texas, and Hunter (Malia) Orth, of Chicago, Illinois; and great-grandchildren, Tucker, Elyse, Carter, and Landon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James L. Bahler, whom she married August 2, 1952, and who died June 28, 1994; her sister, Lily Ann Prats, and her Orth twin grandchildren.
Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dr. Reverend Arnold Fleagle officiating.
Friends may call from 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
