Wanda June Davidson, age 75, of Alliance passed away at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009 at her home.
She was born August 20, 1934, in Parkersburg, West Virginia to James K. and Vivian I. (Eddy) Smith.
Wanda was a graduate of Warwood High School in West Virginia and was a homemaker while her children were at home, then was a Real Estate Agent for the David Jackson Agency.
She was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher. She also was a former Pink Lady for the Alliance Community Hospital, having set up the TV Program; was a member of Town and Country Gardeners, bridge clubs, Alliance Woman's Club, Postscript, Mount Union College Women's Club; liked home decorating, antiquing, ceramics, and being involved with many service organizations.
She cherished family and friends and spent much time with her grandchildren, following their accomplishments in sports, academics and music.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd A. Davidson whom she married July 15, 1952; daughters, Dana (Rod) Peterson and Lori (Tim) Toot, both of Alliance; her mother, Vivian I. Smith of Weirton, West Virginia; her sisters, Brina Schons of Weirton, West Virginia and Sandy (Larry) Harden of Scottsdale, Arizona; her brother, Jim Smith of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren, Ryan and Kendra Peterson, Bethany (Brian) Baum and Talya and Dekota Toot; and four great-grandchildren, Tiara, Zane, Sydney and Dominic.
She was preceded in death by her father, James K. Smith; and a daughter, Lisa Lynn.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Union Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Hoyte Wilhelm officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
