Wanda L. Dickson, age 61, of Alliance died at 11:55 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Wanda was born March 6, 1946 to Harold J. and Ruth I. (Porter) Admire.
She was a 1964 graduate of Alliance High School and was employed by the former Woolworth 5 & 10 and for the Alliance Domestic Violence Shelter.
Wanda enjoyed playing bingo, eating out and reading astrology cards. She especially loved spending time with her family and her cat, Lulu.
She is survived by her two sons, John E. (Dawn) Dickson Jr. and Joe (Denise) Dickson and daughter Joyce Carpenter, all of Alliance. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two sisters, Nancy (Thomas) Flowers of Ravenna, Donna (Daniel) Diver of Carrollton and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Glenn and Melvin Admire; sister, Kathryn Ann Burton; stepfather, Charles Burton, and nephew, Thomas Flowers, Jr.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Tracy Ogden Johnson of the First Church of the Nazarene in Ravenna. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Edinberg Cemetery.
