Wanda Justina Simms, age 72 of Alliance, died at 8:50 a.m. October 11, 2003 at Canterbury Villa.
She was born Sept. 12, 1931 in Salem, Ohio to Leroy and Mary (Carr) Ritchie, and lived in the Alliance area most of her life.
Mrs. Simms was formerly employed by Salem Electric Furnace and later was employed by Bel-Air Convalescent Center and Altercare of Hartville. She was a member of Kathryn Kuhlman Foundation.
She is survived by three daughters Sandra (David) Randolph of Alliance, Sharon Dunlap of Sebring, Gale Schell of Minerva, two sons, David Simms of Georgia and Kenneth Simms of Indiana, twenty-one grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, six sisters, Grace Grant of Alliance, Thelma Oyster, of Alliance, Alma (Jim) Grate of Youngstown, Betty Fultz of Newark, Mabel Ritchie of Alliance, and Fredda Ritchie of Sebring, three brothers Wayne Ritchie of Salem, Robert (Lucille) Ritchie of Youngstown, and Earl Ritchie of Alliance, and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death as well as one daughter Robin Offill, one infant son Gary Simms, two brothers Dale and Dwight and one sister Florence Harris.
A private service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
