Warren Sylvester King, Sr. age 83, passed away at his home in Bedford Heights on Thursday, June 13, 2013.
He was born to James Ernest King and Mary Frazier (Clark) King in Smithfield, Ohio, on April 21, 1930.
Warren graduated from Smithfield High School and was a 1956 graduate of Mount Union College.
A U. S. Army Veteran, Mr. King served during the Korean Conflict.
Warren was united in marriage to Dorothy Uldine Smith, who was his childhood sweetheart. They have been together joined in marriage for 62 years.
He leaves behind to mourn, his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Cynthia J. (Michael) Hawkins; sons, Warren S. King Jr., Gill E. (Leisa) King, and Gregory L. King; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, James King, Robert King Jeanette Mays, Louise Gilliam, Virginia Oliver, and Agnes Jordan.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, One Mt. Zion Circle, Oakwood Village, OH 44146. Friends may call from 10 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the church.
Mr. King will be laid to rest at Alliance City Cemetery.
