Wayne Beatty

Wayne Mark Beatty, age 57 of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family and friends at 12:25 a.m. March 14, 2006 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1949 in Alliance, Ohio to Willard and Bessie (Dezenzo) Beatty and was a lifelong resident.
Wayne graduated in 1968 from Alliance High School and worked at Sancap for 20 years. He was currently employed by Coastal Pets and Tannenhauf Golf Course.
He was also the owner of J&J Golf, as he loved to play golf, attend neighborhood picnics, and spend time with his family, friends and grandchildren.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, and was a U. S. Army Veteran, having served during Vietnam, and was the recipient of one bronze star medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Purple Heart.
Wayne was a devoted husband and father, and is survived by his wife of 36 years Linda (Scott) Beatty, whom he married Jan. 24, 1970; son John Mark Beatty and his partner Carlos Aguilar of San Francisco; daughter, Jaime Lee (Tim) Raber of Alliance; grandchildren, Christopher Tyler, Caiden Fredrick, and Cayla Lee; brother, Robert (Jeaninie) Beatty of Alliance, sister, Patricia Harrigan of Akron, and brother, Kenneth (Judy) Beatty of Kilbuck; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Thomas officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
