Wayne R. Knight, age 66, of Alliance, passed away at 5:02 a.m. Wednesday February 3, 2010, at McCrea Manor.
He was born, October 18, 1943, in Alderson, West Virginia to Rexell and Violet Elise (MacDonald) Knight.
Wayne, a graduate of Levittsburg High School was self-employed in the lawn care and snow removal business and was employed by the former Henschen Motor Company.
He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the Roma Club. Wayne enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and gardening, loved feeding birds and fish at the lakeside. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanie (Biondi) Knight of Alliance, whom he married October 31, 2009; his son, Mark (Jane) Knight of Canton; two daughters, Shelby (Bob) Binion and Leigh Ann (Doug) Click, both of Warren; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; step-father Rexell Knight of Florida; two brothers, Cecil Knight and Daryl Knight; one sister, Cathy Knight; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his mother.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
