Wayne C. "Bucky" Waltenberger

Wayne Charles (Bucky) Waltenberger, age 87, of Homeworth, Ohio, passed away at 2:47 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born May 10, 1928, in Atwater, Ohio, to Charles and Pearl (Bodenstadt) Waltenberger.
Wayne was a graduate of Atwater High School where he played both football and basketball for four years. He then attended the Akron Hammel Business College.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement, Wayne was employed by American Steel Foundries and Marlington School District.
Wayne loved landscaping, working in his garden, and loved watching football, especially the University of Mount Union football team.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 51 years, Kathryn (Porter) Waltenberger; daughters, Amy (Jay) Wardeska of Medina and Jennifer (Bob) Brahler of Alliance; son, William Waltenberger of Columbus; granddaughter, Anna Brahler and grandson, Jonathan Brahler.
Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant daughter, Laura Beth Waltenberger; sister, Jean Whyte; and a brother, Donald Waltenberger.
