Wilbert Grey Williams Jr, age 90, of Alliance went to meet his Lord and Savior at 11:20 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2020 at Altercare of Alliance with his family by his side.
He was born September 26, 1929, in Raymondville, Missouri to Wilbert and Goldie (Johnson) Williams.
Wilbert was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for four years. He was employed as a fitter and welder at Alliance Machine until his retirement.
Wilbert was a member and proudly served as an elder of the Tri-County Church of Christ for many years.
He loved playing country music, especially on stage as part of a band.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Mason) Williams whom he married June 18, 1950 and was happily married to for 69 years; children, Cheryl (Chuck) Mull, Pamela (Virgil) Kirkpatrick, Curtis (Karen Lester) Williams and Lynnette Williams; daughter-in-law Jenny (Jenkins) Williams; and 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Wilbert was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Stephen Williams; sister, Joretta Heiser and two sons. Wilbert and Ronald Williams.
Services will be held at Noon Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with minister Terry Kirsch officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. - Noon prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
