Wilbur T. "Bill" Jefferys, age 70 of Alliance, died at 6:15 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance on Tuesday, August 30, 2005.
He was born May 17, 1935 in Alliance, Ohio, and was a lifelong area resident.
Bill retired from American Steel. He also worked for Don Hole Construction, Henschen Motor Company. He also owned and operated Bill's Autobody.
He was a member of Dante Club, and enjoyed working on cars, especially doing auto-body repair. His hobbies included fishing and riding motor bikes.
He is survived by two sons, Todd (Lynette) Jefferys of Massillon, and Jason (Paula) Jefferys of Alliance; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Noelle, Hallie and Conner; and four sisters, Marjorie Weaver of Alliance, Margie Bon of East Rochester, Betty Stubbins of Salem, and June Bischel of Alliance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gladys (Hartman) Jefferys, who died in September 1988, one brother Glenn Jefferys, one sister, Helen Conrad, his father, Wilbur T. Jefferys, step-mother Mabel (Austin) Jefferys, and his mother, Fern (Brown) Jefferys.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Hookway of Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
