Wilda M. Bahler, age 90, of Beloit, passed away at 5 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2014, at Auburn Skilled Nursing in Salem.
She was born September 8, 1923, in Alliance, Ohio, to Fred and Elsie (Kaiser) Lare.
Wilda was employed at Alliance Manufacturing. A consummate mother and homemaker, Wilda was an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Howard W. Bahler, of Beloit, whom she married August 30, 1940; daughter, Carol (Dale) Zwick of Alliance; son, Tim (Jill) Bahler of Dalton; grandchildren, Cullen (Rissa), Cameron and Evan Bahler, Dale Zwick, Jr., Tammy Harris, and Pam (John) Hardy; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Sophia and Emma Zwick, Trent (Heidi), Scott (Brianna) and Mark McIlvain; great-great-grandchildren, Austin, Harper, Paige and Brock McIlvain; sister, Martha Salaski; and her cats, Mouse and Tiger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Orvin, Russell, Henry and Kenneth Lare; and sisters, Zelda Weber, Dorothy Stephenson, and Fayma Fleming.
Per Wilda's wishes, no services will be held. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
The family wishes to give their greatest gratitude to the Grace Hospice and Auburn Skilled Nursing for their care of Wilda.
