Wilda June (Farkas) Morrison age 83 of Alliance died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday August 26, 2003 at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born June 21, 1920 in Sebring, Ohio to Edmund and Elizabeth (Blucher) Pinkerton.
Mrs. Morrison moved to Alliance in 1998, after living in Wilmington, N.C. from 1978-1998. Prior to 1978, she was a Sebring resident.
Mrs. Morrison worked as a customer service representative and sales clerk at O'Neil's and King's Department Stores. She was a member of First Christian Church in Wilmington N.C., and was a life member of VFW Auxiliary, also serving as their chaplain for several years.
She is survived by daughter Beverly (Glenn) Spore, of Alliance, grandsons Robert Alfani of Alliance, David Alfani of New Berlin WS, Ronald "Joe" Alfani of Alliance, Mark Alfani of Louisville, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, step-son John Morrison of Dallas TX, step-daughters Karla Morrison of Houston, TX, Deidre Morrison of Dallas, TX, and six step-grandchildren.
Her parents, her first husband John Farkas, whom she married Sept. 16, 1939, and who died Aug. 1, 1967, her second husband, Forest "Kenny" Morrison, whom she married Nov. 26, 1971, and who died June 21, 1993, two brothers Floyd and Raymond Pinkerton, and one infant sister Ruth Pinkerton preceded Mrs. Morrison in death.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Koontz of the First Brethren Church of Louisville, Ohio officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
