Wilda Jean Benner, age 85, of Alliance passed away at 12:11 a.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Stone Creek Assisted Living, after a hard fight with Parkinson’s.
She was born April 15, 1934 in Bergholz, Ohio to Clarence D. Wade and Bell R. (Hartley) Wade.
A graduate of Minerva High School, Wilda had worked as an Administrative Assistant for Graham and Wagner. She enjoyed reading and baking, especially decorating cakes, and making her famous pies.
She was an active member and former Secretary at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church in Homeworth.
Survivors include her children, Bonnie (Bob) Skelding, Barry (Lana) Conrad, Karen Conrad, and Roger (Linda) Conrad; grandchildren, Daniel Leone, Heather Leone, Lindsay Conrad, and Eric Conrad; great-grandchildren, Addilyn Conrad, Quinn Conrad, and Cecelia Leone; step-children, Cindy (Tony) Burkhart, Jack (Lee Ann) Benner, and Ted Benner; and several step-grand and great-grandchildren.
Wilda was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie R. Benner, whom she married October 3, 1985, and who died November 6, 2003; and siblings, Floyd, Carl, Wilma, and Wava.
Per Wilda’s request, a private family service will be held. Interment will be at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery.
