Wilford J. Krabill

Willie Krabill, age 69 of Alliance, died suddenly Friday evening, September 7, 2007 at home.
He was born on March 20, 1938 in Maximo to Allen and Della Krabill.
Mr. Krabill graduated from Louisville High School in 1956 and served his country in the Army Reserves. Retiring in 2001 after 43 years, he was a lineman and foreman at the Ohio Edison/First Energy Company in Alliance. Coaching for many years at many age levels, he volunteered his immense baseball knowledge in the Alliance Hot Stove League.
For most of his life, he was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and more recently attended The Chapel in Marlboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife, Frances (Rider) Krabill, whom he married in 1967. They would have celebrated 40 years of marriage on October 7th.
Additionally, he leaves his two children: Chondi (Ty) Schaffer of Beloit, Ohio and Tony (Julie) Krabill of Dayton, Ohio. Also missing him are three grandchildren: Kirsten Schaffer, Christian and Brianna Krabill.
Also surviving are four siblings: Donald (Vivian) Krabill, Wayne "Pete" Krabill, both of Alliance, Berdine (Ed) Pugh of Louisville, and Ivan Krabill of Massillon. Finally, also remaining are three nieces and five nephews along with three great nieces and seven great nephews.
Ever early, turn the lights on, Willie. We'll meet you there.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Interment will be at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery.
