Willetta J. Bansberg

August 26, 1919 — July 9, 2006

Willetta J. Bansberg, age 86 of Alliance, died at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Canterbury Villa.
She was born Aug. 26, 1919 in Sebring, Ohio to J. Glenn and Agnes (Daryman) Pettit and lived most of her life in this area.
Mrs. Bansberg graduated from Sebring High School and the Alliance City Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed by Dr. George Ewing and Alliance Family Medical Center as Office Manager and Supervising Nurse for ten years.
She was a member of First Christian Church for more than 55 years, where she belonged to the Crusaders Class. She was a member of Alliance Nurses Alumni, American Legion Auxiliary, Searchlight Club, and Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Bansberg enjoyed reading, sewing, and baking cookies.
Survivors include her daughter, Gayle B. Fiegenschuh of Alliance, and three grandsons Michael Fiegenschuh, Matthew (Denise) Fiegenschuh and Seth Wood; great grandson Benjamin Fiegenschuh; sisters Glenna Emery, Verdajane Rummell and Janet (Charles) French and son-in-law Keith Wood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William H. Bansberg, whom she married June 14, 1941, and who died in 1976; one daughter, Lynne Wood, who died in 2000 and two sisters Eileen Bandy and Geraldine McClure.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Sue DeHoff officiating. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
