William S. Brieske, Jr., age 74, of Canton, formerly of Alliance and Minerva, died at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born July 30, 1932 in Alliance, to William Stanley and Josephine S. (Hawkins) Brieske Sr.
William was a farmer and he also delivered coal, lime and heating fuel and was owner of the former W.S. Brieske Coal Co. and the Freeburg Fuel and Supply Co.
William is survived by his sister, JoAnn Miller of Canton; nephew Homer C. Miller III; niece, Teresa (Greg) Beiter; and his great nephew Tristan Beiter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Mr. Walter Reber officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
