William Frank Campbell, age 86, of Alliance, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at Canterbury Villa.
He was born January 25, 1923 in Cambridge, Ohio to Clarence and Olive (Cramlet) Campbell and has resided in the Alliance area since 1945.
A graduate of Brown High School, Frank was Captain of the Alliance Fire Department. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and was a Mason.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his daughters, Darlene (Del) Williamson of Alliance, Linda (Charles) Benedetti, of Alliance, Janice Campbell of Newport, NC and Judy (Alan) Pollack of Bay Village; his son, William D. (Bonnie) Campbell of Cape Coral, Fla; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Slasor of Sebring, Oh., Enie Sickle of Cambridge, Oh., Jo Sims of San Francisco, Ca, and Marget Oddison of Hubbard, Oh.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Virginia A. (Smith) Campbell, whom he married July 20, 1943 and who died May 17, 2007; sisters, Pearl Snyder and Zena Parlett; and a granddaughter, Lisa Diane Williamson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday January 19, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Higle of Beechwood Christian Church officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
