William Daniel, age 73 of Alliance, died at 3:05 p.m. October 28, 2004 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born December 25, 1930 in Ashland, Kentucky to Albert Mason and Jo Frances (Turner) Daniel. Mr. Daniel moved from Arlington, Virginia to Alliance in 2000.
A graduate of George Washington University, he was an Electrical Engineer and Branch Chief of the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C. Mr. Daniel was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
He served in the Army National Guard, and was discharged in 1951. He then served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 and was stationed in Germany from 1952-1953.
Survivors include siblings; Robert L. (Virginia) Daniel, James D. (Mabel) Daniel, Dorotha M. Ingle, Lloyd M. (Velma) Daniel, and Phillip L. (Virginia) Daniel, four nephews and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sterling House with Pastor Dave Kline of Covenant Bible Church officiating.
Interment will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, Kentucky.
