William L. Englehart age 83 of Alliance died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday October 15, 2003 at Canterbury Villa.
He was born December 20, 1919 in Toronto, Canada to John and Lillian (Lowe) Englehart, and lived most of his life in Alliance.
Mr. Englehart attended Salem High School, served in the U.S. Army, and was employed at Aultman Hospital as a Physical Plant Engineer, until retiring. He was a member of Canton Baptist Temple, Alliance VFW Post 1036, and the Jolly 60's group at church.
He is survived by daughters Mary (Sam) Gillingham of Alliance, Beverly (Clinton) Lambert of Alliance, Barbara (Gary) Vaughn of Alliance, and Susan (Gerald) Reichard of Canton, 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty M. (Ritchey), whom he married May 30, 1939 and who died April 5, 2001, brothers, Robert and Douglas, grandson Steve Lambert, daughter Carol McGowan, and son-in-law Herbert McGowan.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday October 18, 2003 at the funeral home with Dr. Harold Henniger officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
