William Folk

September 23, 1949 — February 5, 2007

William E. "Bill" Folk, age 57 of Louisville, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born September 23, 1949 in Alliance to Arthur N. and Estella (Cameron) Folk and lived in Louisville & Carrollton all of his life.
Mr. Folk graduated from Carrollton High School and formerly was employed at Ohio Transformer and was currently employed by G. E.
He is a member of Louisville Eagles and enjoyed fishing and golfing. William also was in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Wright) Folk whom he married August 4, 1972; daughter, Tricia (Jarrod) Degenhard; son, William Michael "Billy" Folk; both of Louisville; three grandchildren Rocco, Trent, & Taylor Degenhard; future daughter-in-law Rebecca Frost; future grandson Ethan Frost; brother, Robert "Bob" (Karyl) Folk; sister, Barbra Folk both of Carrollton and several nieces & nephews.
Mr. Folk was preceded in death by his parents, Uncle Clayton Folk, and brother-in-law, Ralph Wright.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Naylor of Carrollton First United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Oncology Dept. at Akron Children's Hospital, 1 Perkins Way, Akron, OH 44308.
