William "Billy" Keaton, age 45 of Homeworth, died at his home at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006.
He was born July 7, 1961 in Akron, Ohio to Hubert B. and Opal M. (Ison) Keaton.
Billy currently worked for H.M. Miller Construction, where he will be greatly missed by his friends there.
He was a member of International Laborers Union #894. He enjoyed gardening, playing the banjo, trapping, hunting and collecting antique items, such as arrowheads. He was a wonderful woodworker and loved his new Ford tractor.
Survivors include his mother, Opal M. Johnson of Kentucky, his wife, Joanne (Vance) Keaton, whom he married Feb. 3, 1982; three daughters, Gretchen (Ronnie) Skaggs of Sandyhook, Ky., Heidi Keaton and Gabrielle "Gabby" Keaton, both of the home; one granddaughter, Cael Skaggs; sister, Elden (Gerald) Lanik of Akron, brother, Alben (Sandra) Keaton of Atwater, sister, Patricia (Conrad) Upton of Texas, brother, Alvin (Pat) Keaton of Akron; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his wife's sisters, Kim, Shelly and Roni.
He was preceded in death by his father, and father-in-law, John Vance.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Ed Dickerhoof officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
