William K. "Bill" Riesen, age 71 of Alliance, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born February 7, 1935 in Moultrie, Ohio to Alfred and Margorie E. (Pryor) Riesen and lived in Alliance most of his life.
Mr. Riesen was a long distance truck driver, and served with the U.S. Army, having been stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Claire E. (Valentine) Riesen, whom he married March 19, 1959; two daughters, Lynn A. (Rocky) Deel of Spencer, West Virginia, and Susan M. (John) Yoho of Alliance; four sons, Bruce A. (Patricia) Riesen of Homeworth, Mark L. Riesen of Alliance, Jeffery O. (Alanna) Riesen of Minerva, and Brian S. Riesen of Sebring; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; four sisters, Thelma (Bob) Wise of Alliance, Cathy Perkins of Minerva, Pat Riesen of Alliance, and Mary Ann Sanor of Kensington; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Riesen was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor James White officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 925 S. Main St. North Canton, Ohio 44720.
