William "Wild Bill" Lawrentz, age 84 of Alliance, died Monday morning June 20, 2005 at Community Care Center.
He was born November 1, 1920 in Linden, West Virginia to Harvey H. and Sallie (Stone) Lawrentz, and lived in Alliance since 1946.
Mr. Lawrentz graduated from Spencer High School in West Virginia and worked as an Arc Welder for B&W Research in Barberton, retiring in 1983.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Sebring.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Rininger) Lawrentz, whom he married June 28, 1947; son Duane Lawrentz of Alliance, and daughter Regina (Denny) Falk of Aliquippa, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister, and one grandchild.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Highland Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Dave Kline officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of the donors' choice.
