William E. Morrison

William E. “Brother Bill” Morrison, age 90, passed away on December 14, 2022.

He was born on May 4, 1932, in Salem, Ohio to William and Hazel (Kelly) Morrison.

Bill, an Alliance High School graduate, was proud of his military service as an Army Sergeant, serving in Korea and Hawaii. He was a retired machinist, ending at the Chrysler plant in Twinsburg.

Bill was an avid swimmer and former diver, he also loved bowling, golf (2 hole in ones) Bocce and was a lifelong Browns, Indians, Ohio State, Cavs, and Mount Union Raiders fan. He also enjoyed working on ‘everything’ in his shed and garage shop, making hundreds of wood projects and could fix anything. He completed his bucket list by flying ultra-lights, a glider, hot air balloons, rock climbing, white water rafting and skydiving at 77. He quietly helped many people, including total strangers, he made friends everywhere. He definitely lived life to the fullest. Bill was a devoted Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Bill (Alicia) Morrison, Jeff Morrison, Chuck (Kathy) Morrison; three grandchildren, Kelly (Tim) Shoffner, Shane (Katie) Morrison, Kyle Morrison; four great-grandchildren that he adored, Josh and A.J. Beorn and Andrew and Ellie Morrison; his siblings, Norma McFerren and Ricker Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Betty; and his youngest son, Russell Morrison.

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20th from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
