William "Bill" Wafler

William "Bill" E. Wafler, age 73, of Salem, passed away at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley in Poland.
He was born December 31, 1943 in Beloit, Ohio to John and Vesta (Felger) Wafler.
A graduate of West Branch High School, Bill spent his life working as a dairy farmer at Wafler Farms.
He was a member of Alliance Friends Church, served as an usher for many years, and helped his wife with the children's choir. He was also a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau. He and his wife enjoyed Christian concerts, staying in Amish Country and family vacations.
He is survived by his mother, Vesta Wafler; wife, Charlotte (Sampson) Wafler, whom he married October 19, 1968; daughters, Brenda (Dale) Johnson, Karen Wafler, and Cheryl (Jason) Miller; grandchildren, Jaycie, Shaylie, Nathan, Natalie and Carissa; brothers, Fred and Tom Wafler; several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his father and brother, Ken Wafler.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Alliance Friends Church, 1307 West State St. Alliance, Ohio 44601, with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
